The Australian Indigenous Governance Institute is now recruiting for two new positions.

Project Officer

Key Responsibilities include:

 Support and undertake research activities and projects under limited supervision either as a
member of a team, or where appropriate, independently;
 Develop position papers including literature reviews; discussion papers; conference proposals;
and contribute to the production of conference and seminar papers;
 Support AIGI’s advocacy strategy, identifying opportunities for AIGI input and submission
including to government and other enquiries;
 Undertake professional development activities including, attendance at conferences and
seminars relevant to the strategic objectives of AIGI;
 Other duties as allocated by the supervisor consistent with the classification of the position.

Executive Manager – Research and Advocacy

Key Responsibilities include:

 Lead AIGI’s research agenda, including management of AIGI contracted research.
 Support AIGI’s collaboration and partnership development with ANU and other tertiary /research institutions.
 Contribute to AIGI’s advocacy strategy, identifying opportunities for AIGI input and
submission including to government and other enquiries.
 Prepare and develop governance curriculum; online resources & publications from research.
 Draft conference proposals and contribute to the production of conference and seminar
papers and publications.
 Serve on internal committees; implement the processes of research, project management,
and budget and grant development as required.
 Manage staff as required.
